RICHARD W. SMITH

Dick Smith began his career on Wall Street in 1959 with Baxter & Co. in the
trading, underwriting and sales department. After two years he moved to Kormendi
& Co. to explore new career opportunities. There he was responsible for
trading corporates, governments, foreign bonds, municipals and stocks.
From 1963-1965, Dick worked for New York Hanseatic Company and was asked to open a municipal operation for them in Chicago. In Chicago he also worked for Stern Brothers and BancNorthwest over a period of 12 years, specializing in the sale of Municipal bonds to Institutional accounts.
In 1977 he was hired by Seattle-Northwest Securities where he served as Vice President in Institutional and Dealer sales. In 1985 Dick had an opportunity to start his own business and he started RW Smith, a brokers-broker and today has regional offices around the nation with highly tenured professionals.
