Municipal securities broker's brokers use a method for obtaining market prices for
securities which is unique to the municipal secondary market. This method is referred
to as "Bid Wanted", a blind auction-style process wherein a dealer asks
a municipal securities broker's broker to gather bids from the interdealer market
on a specific security so the dealer or ultimate owner (customer) may execute a
sell or hold decision on their position.
